Universal Network 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Electronics)
Was looking for a Blu-Ray DVD player late last year. I saw the reviews
on the 83 and almost purchased it. After I saw that the 93 was in the
works I decided to wait, in the event we ever need the 3D capability in
the future. Well I waited and waited like everyone else. I finally
received my unit and was very impressed with the packaging. The manual
is the bes a/v manual I have read in quie some time (maybe ever). It
was very detailed and in English. The DVD comes in a nice black (with
gold lettering) carrying bag. All the wires came in a nice black box.
Very impressive packaing. After removing the player from the bag I was impressed with it's style. The unit weighs probaby 4 times more than a Samsung unit I just installed for a friend of mine. After connecting it and turning it on it went directly to downloading the most recent firmware. The unit has gread discrete codes (something Samsung does NOT have) for integrating into your a/v system. I use a URC 850 and the codes worked perfectly. The player started up quicly and had a great picture. I'm still testing but so far I'm very impressed with every aspect of this player and I highly recommend it. It also has Netflix and Blockbuster.
