It's like comparing a Rolex to a Timex. While unpacking, I was amazed
at the quality of the packing and materials; it had me smiling. Nothing
I've come across compares in the audio/video universe, at least that I
can afford. I connected the new OPPO BDP 93 to my system, a Denon
3808CI and Panasonic 58 inch VT25. Setup was fast and easy. Everything
works as it should. Picture quality is fabulous with DVD and even Blu
Ray appeared better (to my eyes). DVD Audio and SACD
sound just
terrific. After connecting to Netflix, I was pleased at just how good a
streaming movie appeared. My receiver doesn't support HDMI 1.4, so I
connected HDMI 1 to my television and HDMI 2 to the receiver. I also
tried connecting the Denon receiver HDMI out to an unused HDMI input on
the television, but the picture was dropping in and out. I just
disconnected the receiver from the television and all was well. I'm not
sure why the connections wouldn't work in this manner, but they don't.
This is one amazing piece of hardware.
